My monitor situation is semi-fixed (I am using dad's monitor) so I am semi-back. However, I need a new CMOS battery. No turning off the computer for me for a while, I guess. Technology just seems to wither and die around me lately. The VCR and the audio tape deck both went out in the last few weeks too. Bleh.

We had a similar string of incidents like that around here. First, our TV burned out. Then our VCR had to be replaced. Then I had some problems with my car's alternator. Boo on electrical problems.

I'm reminded of something someone once said to me about "Mercury in Retrograde" or something. However, I don't know if it even applies to this situation, if at all, since . . . er, well, I forgot what it meant. *shrug* But it seems to ring familiar to this situaiton.
