Gone Fishin'

I'm going on vacation until Sunday, so if I seem to have dropped off the face of the earth even more than usual, that's why.

A week in a rental house in the middle of nowhere with (M|T)om and Kellie. Joy. I bought 5 new volumes of manga to bring with me, though, so it shouldn't be all bad. 2 of them are in series I already read, one I've seen the anime for and the other two were basically just random purchases. Those seem to be working out reasonably well for me though. I like it that Tokyopop is doing the right to left thing, and also that they're only $10 apiece. Not as cheap as a normal paperback, but better than a lot of the publishers.

I should be sleeping right now, but I'm trying to peel a windowcling I made off of some plastic so I can put it on the window. Yay priorities.

And I had a quick question for ya... I know that you told me about your not being able to come to the con and all and that you might be able to come if we got a room in the con hotel. Well, I called up today and booked a room in the main hotel. ^_^ Is there any chance that you still want to come? It's short notice for me to do this and for me to tell ya about it, I know; but I thought you might like to know. If I don't hear a reply from you by Monday then I'll assume that you are still not going to come.

Are you actually going to be catching any fish? Or are you just going to a house for vacation?

I just got online again today, but thanks for thinking of me. I wouldn't have been able to go anyway, because it looks like grad school is going to be really expensive so I need to save money.

Although I got a 2 day fishing license for part of the trip I did not actually fish, since it was too windy to cast easily and I'd had A Bit Too Much Togetherness to want to go on a teensy boat with everyone at that point anyway. I was going to do some spin casting. (M|T)om did some fly fishing but didn't catch anything. I think Kellie did a bit of spin casting but she didn't catch anything either.
