I am graduating, if that's still the right term when it's a master's degree. This happens on the 19th of August at the University of Oregon in Eugene. While I can't imagine that many people here in LJ land might actually want to come, no tickets are required so it requires very little effort on my part to invite y'all. Unless you are a creepy stalker or exceptionally smelly, consider yourself invited. It starts at 10:00.

If anyone actually might come, let me know so I can keep you posted on such ideas as Everyone Going Out To Lunch Afterward.

Also, at some point I need to get rid of all of the food in my freezer since I'm moving. Does anyone in Eugene but me eat meat? I seem to have some extra.

Still no job. Had one interview last Wednesday and another this Friday. I really want a job so I know which city to apartment-hunt in. Also because Wednesday-interview would expect me to develop a technology curriculum and I could do that better if they'd hire me more than a week or two before school starts (they said they'd know by the end of last week, but I called them yesterday and they said they'd need another 3 or 4 days). I am not happy with my grammar in the preceding sentence, and welcome suggested fixes in the comments. I think it should be in the future subjunctive, but I may have lead myself astray somewhere.

I don't want to work on my capstone paper, but it is so very due. I presented on it yesterday. Assuming I turn it in and pass that class (it is pass/no pass) I will be graduating with a little better than a 4.0 GPA. This astounds me. Sadly, I don't think master's programs do honors.

Saturday the 19th is "packing the truck" day (with Sunday being "drive to Seattle and unload" day). With that in mind, I don't think I'll attend the ceremony, but I might be up for going to lunch if Everyone Goes Out To Lunch Afterword.

Plans have changed and we're going to try to get into Portland on Saturday - which means we probably won't have time to spare for going out to lunch. I won't have time to get together between now and then, which is too bad, but I'll see you at Chris and Ashley's party the following weekend.

Congratulations, by the way. I know this has been a bit of a slog, but now you're done. Hooray!
