Yay!

Got my Math Praxis scores in the mail today. I somehow managed to pass both sections, so I have now passed all of my standardized tests! (Well, I haven't gotten the Praxis I writing section scores back yet, but I should have done fine on *that* piece of bureaucracy since I have a rudimentary grasp of verb tenses.) Assuming I get into the grad program, I'm well on my way to becoming a math teacher (a scary thought, since I am now beginning to realize how little of certain types of math I have retained, such as calculus and anything before algebra I).

I'm in Portland tonight. Who wants to celebrate? (I'm stuck at dad's for dinner, but could totally do something later tonight.)

Tonight's the night of the monthly céilí, so I'll be out doing Irish dancing. Which I expect is something you couldn't get anyone else you might want to celebrate with to do, even if you want to do it yourself, which you might not. But otherwise, I would be up for celebrating.

Well, I would actually normally be up for that, but my feet have been hurting a bit lately, so I don't think I'll stress them out doing something that foot-oriented right now. (Also, I am not exactly a good dancer and haven't done Irish dancing since the '90s.) Perhaps some other time.

I have no idea when is a good time to call you in the morning (I know the official unwritten rule is any time after 10am and before 10pm, but I get tired of calling people at 10:30am and feeling bad for waking them up!)

P.S. I don't know if you were actually interested in that Hagg Lake idea or not. I kinda am just 'cause it's in that terrifying wilderness known as "out past Forest Grove," but I don't wanna drag everyone there if no one really wants to check it out but me =P

I did find this nifty map though. It's a lake and a park, so I expect that "hiking" might be an awfully fancy term for "walking along a trail" out there. But we could pull together some kind of picnic thing.

But again, I don't want to force anyone all the way out there if they're not interested. Whee.

Mike's dad said we should hike around Washington Park, and also mentioned that there's a park nearby, around 231st and Baseline (Grand Noble Park or something).
