Updated plans

The vague-hanging-out event will start at 1800 Saturday. Everyone should bring whatever they'd like to have thrown on the grill for dinner (food products recommended). New Seasons is nearby and a pretty good place to buy individual-size portions of everything from sausages to steak, so you might consider shopping there if you're not sure what to bring. I just don't want to buy a lot of stuff that may or may not get eaten since I head back to Eugene on Sunday, so I'd rather people brought their own food. I got a new DDR game for Christmas, so that may be played. Or something. We'll see. I just mostly want to hang out with people.

Anyway, feel free to call me if you have any questions.

THERE WILL BE A PRIZE FOR BEST COSTUME. (The prize will depend on the costume.)

Duran Duran Revolution

Hanging out with Linnea & co., ...or Duran Duran tribute. This is seriously an incredibly tough choice. The Duran Duran tribute will no doubt be truly amazing, but I will have nobody to share it with. Whereas hanging out with you guys would be less amazing, but it would be social, and I don't have too many opportunities to see you. I may just let it come down to how social I'm feeling.

How late will the show go? You could try to do both...failing that, I'm going to try to make the "geek" meeting on Sunday at Dawn's(although I'll be coming late probably). I mean, you're welcome to come to my thing, you're always invited to these things, but I know you've been looking forward to the Duran Duran tribute so I'd hate for you to miss it.

Anyway, I hope you end up having a great time whichever you pick.

I'm guessing they intend it to go until 0100, and that it will actually go until 0130 - 0200. I don't have to stay until the end. (But if it's truly amazing, I'll want to. Unless it's excessively loud and my ears are bleeding, which is known to be a problem at this venue.) And there's ~25 min. travel time. How late are you planning on staying up? (and, um, sober-ish?)

No idea. I was assuming it wouldn't go that late since it's starting at 1800, but it varies so much with how early people need to get up in the morning and how sidetracked they get by shiny things. Perhaps you should give me a call before coming over and see how things are going. I tend to be up until at least 0200 even without guests when I'm home alone here, because I am a big stupidhead and play computer games, so don't worry about waking me up with a phone call.

I have no idea. I will be equally amused determining the winner whether or not anyone was wearing a costume on purpose.

I am intending to come, but I may wind up falling over and not moving for a while. I've actually had to be up aa decent hour and available during normal bussiness hours, which involved a *slight* re-adjustment of my sleep schedule.
