I am staying up later each night. This clearly means that I no longer require sleep, and am thus one step closer to my eventual goal of invincibility and complete lack of concern with the cares of petty mortals. Or that my body runs on a 26 hour day, which, given the results the last 4864 times I've pulled this stunt, is more likely.

Starting school on Monday is going to be fun. The fact that I no longer remember a damn bit of math is simply going to INCREASE THE FUN. Abstract algebra, here I come! (I don't recall ever being good at any kind of math that involved either of those words, but maybe when you put them together, they cancel each other out and leave pure happiness in their place.)

Convenient that you live with a math grad student then, no?

I can still figure out most of my algebra, but that's mostly just my logic, not my memory. I may also have an iota or two of statistics stuck in my brain from frosh year of college. Beyond that...basic arithmetic for me! =P

I know you're going for your teaching credentials, and I think I *should* know what kind of teaching you're planning to do (i.e. elementary school, middle, high, etc), but I don't. Any plan thus far?

Sleep is a terrible addiction. It takes up 1/3 of your time and causes hallucinations. The more you get, the more you want. I have attempted to break my addiction and give up sleep entirely, but I relapsed each time.

Maybe you can succeed where I failed.

*snerk* Yes, but withdrawal can be fun . . .

I think you will do fine in abstract algebra. It's a lot different than your basic solve for x algebra. I think your previous troubles in math were due to being asked to take things on faith and not having them explained to you; in abstract algebra, that ain't going to be the case.

Dear La,

Here are a couple of names that popped on my page recently. Mind if I ask if you know who they are?

I couldn't open the pictures. Would you mind emailing me? jcrowl@academymtg.net. (Spammers: I don't care; it's my office account and I don't need to either lose weight or add inches to my penis to close home loans.) Any-who. Wanna go to a club tonight? Regards,

-JEff
