I shouldn't be allowed to interact with the world

...on less than 8 hours of sleep. I bumbled around all day at work today, confused or distracted by things that really weren't that confusing or distracting. Also, my dad just yelled for me to answer the phone (as he was in another part of the house and busy) and rather than yelling back "I'll get it!" and then picking up the phone I yelled "Hello!" into the phone very loudly when I picked it up, figuring that this would be a good system.

I am debating getting a moped. Partly for the lower gas mileage, but mostly so I couldn't drive other people around anymore.

I got home from the meetup after midnight last night, which would have been about 2330 and $5 cheaper had I not needed to drop people off (I ended up imposing on a diner's restroom and buying an exceedingly expensive piece of cheesecake that I have yet to eat to justify it). It was a really fun meetup, though. However, I didn't get to sleep until pretty damn late.

I am feeling silly and stupid. I should sleep. Watch me internet instead.

I'm using this icon far too much lately.

Rather than getting a moped, maybe you should see if anyone else can help take people home after the Meetups. There have to be other people with cars there. It's unfair of others to expect you to drive around for a long time afterward when you have to get up early the next morning to go to work.

I suppose. The meetup people, by and large, don't seem to have cars. Sometimes I feel like the only person in Portland with a car. Then I drive sunset highway and realize that many people have cars, although I am the only one who knows how to drive. So I must just not meet the car-people.

You should get a full-on motorcycle. In my opinion, they're safer for a sensible rider......

The icon also rules. I'm thinking about something similar, when I get a camera...

They probably cost more, though. Plus, the whole swinging-the-leg-over-something thing. Also the don't-have-a-clue-how-to-shift thing. On the other hand, mom has a motorcycle, and I bet if I went and got my endorsement she'd let me borrow it for a month or so to see if I liked it before I actually went and bought one of my own. However, I don't know if they actually do motorcycle classes that start out postulating that you have no idea how to ride one. I suppose such things exist, though. What I really need is for the county to decide to put in bike lanes and to get a better bicycle. Then I could just bike to MAX and get pretty much everywhere that way (and also not have to give people rides).

Hee. I need to get a digital camera of my own one of these days. I never like how pictures of myself come out, though, which is a large part of why I have so few icons.
