Feeling better

Well, I think I'm over the worst of my cold. I still have a stuffy nose, but I can deal with that.

I finished watching all of the 1st season Babylon 5 DVDs. I wish 2nd season would hurry up and come out. I'm tempted to watch them all on tape rather than wait, but that would be kind of silly since I'll then want to watch them again when I get the DVDs. Oh, and if you haven't seen the show before and want to avoid spoilers, don't listen to the commentaries or anything. Go back and do that after seeing the whole series.

clipdude came over yesterday, after I'd already watched all of them, and I made him start at the beginning and watch them. I will eventually force all of my friends to watch this show.

I also bought some books the other day, so I've read two books this week that I hadn't read before. That was nice. I rarely read anything other than manga and books that I already own, and it was nice to read something for the first time that was longer.

Jeff and I are going to game tomorrow. Yay! I haven't gotten to game at all since summer. I'm going to create a character for an ongoing Hackmaster game, and then we're going to play Tunnels and Trolls (which I will probably be stuck GMing by virtue of having read the book). Whee!

In the meantime, I'm going to go wake clipdude up.

Completely unrelated: My first day of my new math class, I spend most of the time trying to figure out who the teacher reminded me of. Then it struck me: Linnea! She doesn't look or talk like you; you just share some mannerisms. Then I was very sad that I didn't have you for a teacher, because I think it would be a lot of fun to take a class from you. Just thought I'd share.

Thank you. If I had less of what the school administration would surely categorize as an "attitude problem" I would become a k-12 teacher. If I had less of what I would categorize as a "motivation problem" I would become a college professor. As it is, I have great plans of being a crotchety old woman with a front porch and a rocking chair someday. I just have to figure out how to support myself until then.
