Eugene get-together tomorrow!

Just a reminder that my birthday is tomorrow, and I'd kind of like to do something with some of the Eugene people if anyone is free. Since I didn't exactly plan things and invite people I won't be upset if people don't have time, but it would be neat to hang out. I'll spring for cake and maybe a cheap dinner at my place like take-and-bake pizza or spaghetti or tacos or something if people'd like. Maybe starting around 1900. Anyone interested? I don't want to eat birthday cake all by myself! (I also have lots of ice cream.)

Also, I am tired like crazy from my Portland weekend. It was fun, though. This was at least my second birthday party at which there were no girls but me (I know there weren't any girls at my 21st). This number may be much higher, but I'm having trouble remembering right now. I remember my 17th birthday post-prom sleepover narrowly escaped being one since Becky came (even if she did fall asleep upstairs fairly early on).

It is time for sleep as tomorrow is school again. I am really looking forward to getting a 3-day weekend for Memorial Day in a few weeks.

Oh, and I'll be in Portland again next weekend for my cousin's graduation (giapet, this means that I'll technically be coming to your graduation as well, because I am secretly stalking you and retroactively created a cousin and made her go to your school JUST SO I COULD WATCH YOU GRADUATE). I don't know how much time I'll have free, but I may be able to free up some time for Stupid if a Stupid is happening. Otherwise, I'll use the Portland-time to catch up on laundry, which is becoming more important with time (and also LiveJournal, which I am about a week and a half behind on at the moment).

Sleep, dammit! Sleep! (Caffeine is not my friend.)

A Stupid is happening, in the sense that my having to walk while wearing a black gown in this heat is Really Stupid.

We're also having a buffet thing at a Chinese restaurant out in SW from something like 3-7pm, though it's mostly just my family using my graduation as an excuse to have a big party (and meal). If you want to drop by, I'll give you the address-- it's a come-when-you-want, leave-when-you-want sorta thing, so don't feel like you have to commit to four hours of Meeting My Family or anything like that.

But are you actually coming to the ceremony? If so I'll definitely keep an eye out for you and try to see you then too. I wish I could say that I'll be able to set aside time and hang out on Sunday but since my family's in town (and they're helping me pack up my desk for the pending move), I don't think I can promise anything @_@ But we'll see!

Yeah, I'll be at the actual ceremony. Kirsten is somewhat short on rich relatives, so she had to settle for local ones. ^_^

If you want me to show up to the Family Thing I will, but if you'd prefer I didn't I'll skip it. I'd like to see you, but I'm neutral on your family (who I don't think I've met) and neutral on Chinese food, so it kind of works out to a mildly enthusiastic "eh, maybe".

Your job's in Portland, right? Perhaps we'll postpone the hanging-out until things die down a bit and I'll try to make it up for some weekend in June after I'm done student teaching and the twitchy look leaves my eye.

It turns out that the only time I can see my dad is around 2-ish on Saturday (he leaves for Vegas on Sunday and he's spending the rest of the time with his girlfriend - his life becomes full of complicated drama if he spends time with me instead of her, so I tend to come in last since I don't reciprocate the drama if he spends time with her) so my guess is I'll be stopping by toward the end of it all rather than the beginning. I haven't gotten the address from you, so I'll try calling you as soon as dad has to leave. Hopefully it'll all work out. ^_^;

OK. In case I don't hear my phone above the din of Family, it's called the Mandarin Palace and it's at Allen and Scholl's Ferry (it may be more accurate to say Garden Home and Scholl's Ferry, really; it's right past the Burgerville, where Allen sorta turns into/onto Garden Home).

It's a pretty new restaurant though, so I don't think you'll be able to find an address listing @_@; but it's not hard to get to.
