It's a very memorable book. Something about it just says "read me over and over until you no longer actually need to book there in order to do so". I've read a lot of his other books (my favorite may actually be I See By My Outfit), but something about The Last Unicorn just encourages repeat readings. (I won't talk about the multiple tapes of the movie I've worn out over the years.)
I read that, but I didn't want to wait to order it, since the price would go up and I also might forget to go back and get it later. I assume it'll ship by late Juneish, right? Otherwise I'll need to change my shipping address between now and then, because I'm moving at the end of June. The thing I'm hoping will arrive pretty soon is the other pile of fandom stuff I've ordered recently (Babylon 5 stuff from Cafepress), since it's all actually available now. I figure the various Peter Beagle stuff will get here whenever it gets here.
Also, do you know if any of Peter's music recordings are available for sale somewhere other than the one tape at Firebird arts? That's more what I was poking for when I found out about the books (which I was also, obviously, more than happy to find) since it'd be nice to have a recording on something other than a cassette tape. I don't know if he ever recorded anything else or not, but I figured if he had you'd know.
