I was looking for my copy of Labyrinth today and opened up a box full of old videos that I'd more-or-less forgotten about (well, I knew I had them, I just didn't have any concrete idea of where I'd put them last). Whee. So I now know where my copies of My So-Called Life, Kindred: The Embraced, Babylon 5 (normal-tv formatted edition taped off of TNT, I also taped it in widescreen off of SciFi, have the first season on DVD and have most of 3rd and 4th season taped off of the original broadcasts on PTEN) and Crusade, two different Disney versions of The Incredible Journey (I am the only one I know who likes the old one better), The Fox and the Hound (which I had forgotten I owned entirely), Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I forget all what. If it wasn't finals it'd be time for a big video-watching binge. I haven't watched these tapes since California, since that's what I packed this box for. That was about 2 1/2 years ago.

So tonight I watched the first tape from the Kindred boxed set. (Thus the subject line, I wanted Dad to pick between My So-Called Life and Kindred.) It was dumber than I remembered it being. Either I've grown up or tapes get stupider when you leave them in cardboard boxes with no light or fresh air. I'll probably re-watch the rest of the series anyway, just because I know I spent about $50 on this boxed set and have only watched it about 3 times. I remember when Jeff ([livejournal.com profile] safetygoth) and I watched the entire series straight through once in Tamarack. That was when we were freshmen and Jeff's personal mission was to make sure that I didn't sleep that week. (Ok, that night and the next, when we played Mage: Sorcerer's Crusade until birds started chirping.) I think Chris D. ([livejournal.com profile] delldiablo) wandered in toward the end of that "marathon" too, although it's been a few years and I'm not sure if it was him or someone else, since we didn't really hang out then. (This was back in my "pointless crush on Jeff" days, incidentally. I'm terrible about developing crushes on my friends, although I'm much better about it than I was in high school, when I probably had a mild crush on most of my friends, at least for a few days until sanity returned.)

[livejournal.com profile] qousqous is probably going to Canada right after finals. I'm going to try to tag along, but I don't think I can afford to take the train like he wants to. Bah. I wanna go. I haven't been to Canada for 2 1/2 years. I need to figure out some source of income or other.

I don't want to be in school. I want to be a total slacker with a magical source of income. Also I want to be able to change hair and eye color at will. Also general body shape/appearance and possibly sex. That would be pretty cool.
