In related non-nested notes:

• To every professor I had as a sophomore in college: I was the worst student ever. I can only plead youth and stupidity. I am so embarrassed about it now. Thank you for passing my pathetic ass anyway, which I probably didn't deserve.
  
• Still crazy and staying up too late and telling the internet about it, although a lot less of that last one. Why did I used to share so very much? I suppose it was A Different Time.
  
• Some predictions don't come true.
  
• Goddammit self, caffeine makes you crazy. Stop it.
  
• Today will be my 10 year Spiffy's-a-versary. I do not plan to celebrate it by driving to Spiffy's, as I probably should have outgrown driving to Chehalis for bad diner food by now. (I do now understand the theory behind vegetarians attempting to locate breakfast places when trying to eat in small towns, though.) I will probably celebrate it by sleeping most of the day and then eating Chinese food for dinner, because that is what I was going to do anyway.

Maybe next year we can meet in the middle at Spiffy's, just for fun. Don't forget about the exciting collection of religious tracts!

Perhaps! Although, last time I went to Spiffy's, they no longer had the religious-crazy in the form of pamphlets, just the bee-pollen-marketing mild-crazy that seems to be part of all small town diners in Washington. Alas.

However, I do go to Seattle several times a year and I suck for never remembering that you live there! What is a good way to get ahold of you and possibly hang out sometime?

My next actual trip is for Conflikt the last weekend of January, but I'll be pretty busy with the con itself over the weekend. You probably have actual responsibilities in your life that preclude it, but I'd probably be able to meet for lunch on Friday the 29th if you wanted to and let me know in advance.

Usually, my Seattle trips are less fully scheduled since I'm just coming up for either a housefilk, a party Sean is throwing, or, if the stars align to make things awesome, both. I have no idea when the next one of either of those will be, but there will almost certainly be one or more this summer if not sooner. I am also staring hard at Norwescon, but I'm not sure I can justify the expense and that'd run into the same problem with the con eating my weekend anyway.
